Don't take kids shopping when they are tired or hungry…it's just not worth it!
Always have a snack of crackers, gold fish or pretzels in your bag. A juice box may also come in handy. By always keeping a backpack with these items already packed and stored in your trunk you'll always have a ready supply on hand.
Limit your shopping time or consider shopping on line. Kids can only handle so much and being pushed through crowds of people can be unsettling for even the calmest child.
Tuck a colorful paperback book or two in your stroller or backpack. The more colorful the better!
Quiet tunes on your i-pod or an audio story book can soothe the spirits of your young ones or provide a bit of entertainment. Soft head phones work the best.
